Android 5.0 Lollipop to Moto G second Generation

A new update to Moto G (2nd Generation) has been released by Motorola. On installing this update, it brings you Android 5.0 Lollipop to your phone but you cannot downgrade to a previous version after this installation.

Android 5.0 Lollipop is the most recent version of Android; it will definitely improve your experience in interaction with the device. These are the enhancements that you are going to have:

♦ You can notice a colorful new look after the installation including the fluid animations, system themes, colors and widgets.

♦ The format of notifying you to the alerts is also evolved, notifications will appear on the lock screen itself and are ranked by the type of the notification and who sent them. Just you need to double tap to open it and left or right swap to clear it. You can set priorities and security to each type of notification and for each application. Very high priority notifications will pop up over other applications so that you can take action instantaneously. If your device is connected through the internet with another android device, notifications cleared on one will automatically clears on the other.

♦  You can choose to allow all, none, or only priority interruptions. And of course you can personalize which are priority interruptions, and a Downtime setting will allow only priority interruptions during the times and days that you had specified.

♦  The Overview space as a replacement for Recents will now include both applications and activities of those applications. This provides an efficient way to switch amongst tasks very easily.

♦  Without turning on the full display, your ambient display will show the notifications when they are arrived. You can turn on this setting in the display settings. But as a flip it consumes more of your battery.

♦  Motorola Assist helps you not to get disturbed while you are busy. It integrates the new Downtime settings. You can customize exceptions by accepting few people on your starred contacts.

♦  If you swipe down from the status bar with two fingers you can see an option for flashlight as a quick setting.

♦  You can set up more than one user accounts and by default guest mode is enabled. You can give calling and texting powers to the other users of your device in the Users menu under settings. You can also restrict the other users.

♦  Motorola Assist and Motorola Connect are only for the Owner account. Camera, Gallery, Radio support multiple user accounts.

♦  You can pin any application on your screen so that you can view only that application and you can’t navigate anywhere else.

♦  The battery settings panel shows the projected time remaining for discharging or charging. You can also enable power saver mode, which anyhow decreases the performance and saves battery life.

♦  Your phone will not connect to the internet or Wi-Fi unless there is a verified internet connection. This feature helps you in maintaining your video chats or voice calls even you switch, i.e. it helps for better handoffs.

♦  Android Runtime in Lollipop helps you optimize application performance. All the applications will undergo one time optimization process and it requires more space.
